April, 1993 Company formation and commencement of operations by founder and president John W. Morris, Jr.

May, 1993 First project start; an outdoor youth gym and recreation area for the Calhoun County YMCA Day Care Association.

May, 1995 Procures and is awarded the initial manufacturing test assembly plant construction. A 35,000 SF facility for North American Bus Industries, Anniston, Alabama.

June, 1996 Implementation of laser screed leveling operations for a distribution center for the Werner Co. ladder manufacturing plant. A 130,000 SF concrete floor slab is constructed and completed within a three week time frame. Expands company field personnel to over twenty (20) employees including four (4) field superintendents.

June, 1997 Company is awarded top volume award for sales and customer satisfaction for State of Alabama by Gulf States, manufacturers of pre-engineered building systems.. The company remains focused on industrial and commercial projects utilizing design-build systems and concepts.

June, 1998 Implements self performance steel and structural erection services within the company as contract value and project control needs increase. Field personnel increased to over thirty-four employees. Metal re-roof projects are procured including a major project completed for the City of Oxford Alabama School System.

April, 1999 Completes first major expansion for the Bostrom Seating Plant in Piedmont, Alabama utilizing all company self performing personnel for the building dry-in process.

March, 2000 Company is awarded the USA Southern Region Builder of the Year award by Butler Manufacturing Company Buildings Division, a worldwide leader in systems construction. The company is presented the award at a ceremony in Nashville, Tennessee. Other awards received include high performance, customer satisfaction and top sales awards.

December, 2000 The company completes in excess of 750,000 SF of construction facilities for the year 2000, presently still a company record.

January, 2002 Company expands areas of operations completing first project in State of Florida, a motor vehicle sales and service facility in Freeport-Destin, Florida. Also, completes a 170,000 SF plant facility for Ameron International Pole Products Division. A service facility for Drivers Way of Alabama is completed in Pelham, Alabama.

May, 2003 Major new facility projects are procured and commenced for The Supply Room, YKK TapeCraft, Shelco and Atlantic Tool & Die of Alabama. Also, a stand alone prototype facility is completed for Quiznos Subs in Oxford, Alabama.

May, 2004 For a fifth consecutive year the company is recognized as a USA Top 100 Building Systems Constructor by Metal Construction News Magazine a leading building construction publication.

May, 2005 The company is awarded a design-build contract for tank vehicle industrial recovery and rebuild facilities for BAE Systems Steel Projects Division, Anniston, Alabama. The project is competed in a record 154 days for the 110,000 SF expansions and vehicle receiving areas.

August, 2006 A record 12th facility expansion in commenced for Alabama Specialty Products, Inc. in Munford, Alabama consisting of a 50,000 SF laser fabrication expansion for the company. To date MBC has constructed in excess of 280,000 SF of facilities for this outstanding company and organization.

September, 2006 Company is awarded and selected as General Contractor – Construction Manager for the new 258,000 SF Rigid Building Systems plant and administration facilities in Gadsden, Alabama. Construction is completed in February of 2007.

September, 2007 Company is awarded the contract by BAE Systems to construct a new plant facility for the production of mine resistant ambush protective plating (MRAP) for the U.S. Department of Defense. This crucial high profile project was of design –build fast track nature and was successfully completed on schedule and within budgets.

September, 2008 In maintaining complete project type versatility, the company achieved high customer client accolades for its construction of a NASCAR Sports Hall of Fame Museum for AIMS Alabama International Motor Speedway in Eastaboga, Alabama.
